Jesus Paid It All (#184) Video
Jesus Paid It All: This song strongly reminds me of the things I’ve read in the book “Steps To Christ”! I often go back to that book for a little “refresher course”! Here’s a link to the online version: Steps To Christ
I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
We Must Put Our Relationship With Christ First!
Do you hear Jesus from day to day? Do you “open your heart to God as to a Friend”? (Prayer) There was always just such a “clear channel” of communication between Jesus and His Father during His earthly ministry! We need it too! Our nature is “fallen” or “against God”; only the Holy Spirit can change this by His miracle working power! We must put our relationship with Christ first!
Lord, now indeed I find Thy power and Thine alone, Can change the leper’s spots And melt the heart of stone.
We Must Have This Experience For Ourselves!
This verse describes a very personal experience with Jesus and the Holy Spirit! We must have this experience for ourselves! Whether we were raised in the church or not, our experience needs to match this description exactly!
Since nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim,
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.
Only The Power Of God!
All of us are equal in the sight of God! We all need the same Salvation! We can only wash our garments white by submitting our will to God! We still need to put forth effort to cooperate with Him, but none of the credit goes to us! It is only the power of God that changes us!
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I’ll lay my trophies down
All down at Jesus’ feet.
What Are Your Trophies?
What are the “trophies” being spoken about here? There are only two things we can take to heaven: our characters and our friends! Our friends are our “trophies” represented by “stars” in our crowns! But it is God’s Power that got them to heaven, not ours! We only played a small part! And we are only “complete” in Him (Jesus Christ)!
Chorus
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
Jesus Died The Second Death!
Yes, He died the death we were scheduled to die after the millennium; the second death! That scheduled appointment has been canceled on the cross! You can still keep the appointment, if you wish, but I would not recommend that! Yes, He paid all that could be paid! You owe Him Everything! He will wash you “white as snow”! He provides the laundry detergent (His blood), you provide the decision (your will) to participate in the “washing” process (Justification AND Sanctification)! It’s not that complicated! It’s called “Surrender”!
