For a very long time, Ezekiel has been a hidden mystery to me! Maybe you are in the same situation, so this article will lay a foundation to help you understand Ezekiel better!

Who Is Ezekiel?
Here, we see that Ezekiel is a priest, but he is not mentioned as belonging to the tribe of Levi. But it does say that he is the “son of Buzi”! In the beginning, what kind of priesthood was established with Adam and Eve based on sonship? The Melchizedek Priesthood!
Ezekiel Is A Type Of Christ
Every Melchizedek Priest was to be a “type of Christ,” who is our Melchizedek High Priest! Ezekiel is no exception! In nearly every chapter of Ezekiel, God uses the phrase “son of man” to refer to Ezekiel! And who else is referred to like this? That’s right, Jesus Christ! We Are To Be Like Jesus!
We are to be like Jesus Christ and Ezekiel! We see that Ezekiel was clearly a “type of Christ” and was therefore a “Melchizedek Priest” like Jesus Christ.
Ezekiel Had The Holy Spirit
Then it says, “The hand of the Lord was there upon him.” This phrase is often used in the Bible to indicate someone is “filled up” with the Holy Spirit! For more information about the Holy Spirit, see Godhead or Trinity?
Ezekiel And The Dry Bones Vision
Ezekiel Was A Great Documenter
You will also notice that each chapter of Ezekiel begins with a description of the date, time of day, and location of the vision! This indicates that the vision is real, accurate, and essential for a more complete understanding of God’s Word!
A Great Example!
Ezekiel gave us a great example to follow in our own documentation practices! Let’s ask God to help us follow Ezekiel’s example in our own experience.

Using Grok As A Research Tool
Recently, I’ve decided to use Elon Musk’s “Grok” AI software to help me do research into each chapter of Ezekiel. This tool allows me to cut down on the research time I need to spend on a thorough analysis of each chapter. This means that Grok uses the fact that I’m a preacher’s son in the SDA church, and it looks for documentation from SDA sources in its analysis.
A Tool Not A Substitute For Thought
This does not mean that I will finish each chapter with lightning speed! No, I will carefully review each citation from SDA sources and determine whether I agree with their analysis before I proceed. I will use only the best ideas and analysis from those sources in my articles. And I will present these ideas in a very different manner than Grok does.

Writing accurate and valuable articles on the book of Ezekiel is a vast and very daunting task! Don’t be surprised if I step on your toes! I will be stepping on mine as well! I won’t have time to analyze how to avoid doing that!
