Another Resource: Finding The Missing Peace
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".
John 14:27 KJV
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world".
John 16:33 KJV
There’s a famous quotation, “No God, No Peace! Know God, Know Peace”! This sums up this subject quite well! When an atheist is afraid it is normally when they think there might be a God! When a Christian is afraid, it either means that they don’t know God as intimately as they should, or that they have committed a sin and still need to repent!
And there’s something else that many Christians forget! Just because God gives you peace, does NOT mean that your life will be “peaceful”!
"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution".
2 Timothy 3:12 KJV
That little word “shall” means that it WILL HAPPEN guaranteed!
Christians are at war with Satan and his angels! It is absolutely impossible to avoid conflicts with Satan, his angels, and with those people who are under their control! Unfortunately most Christians are already under Satan’s control! Of course they don’t realize this or they would try to make things right with God!
And for this reason it is very important that we learn to be like Christ, who hates all sin, but loves the sinner! We will often be called upon to love those who are persecuting us! This is not an easy thing to do! But it is possible with God’s help when we are used to doing God’s will instead of our own will!
"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time".
Revelation 12:12 KJV
Satan knows the Bible quite well and therefore realizes that his time is quickly running out! So, he is “pulling out all the stops” to wage war against God’s Kingdom and anyone who dares to actually faithfully serve God in their own life!
