Melchizedek Deeper Dive!

Melchizedek Deeper Dive: In the previous article Melchizedek Deep Dive we established the FACT that in every case where the word “Melchizedek” or “Melchisedec” is mentioned in the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, it is referring either to the Holy Spirit, to Jesus Christ, or to the Order of the Melchizedek Priesthood to which ALL Christians are definitely called! This undoubtedly answers the question “Who is Melchizedek”!

The Melchizedek Message

However we did not really define the contents of the “Melchizedek Message” and what it means for Christians today! This is the lofty goal of this article!

So, if you’re a teenage girl, you are called to be a priestess in the Order of the Melchizedek Priesthood, right next to your High Priest, Jesus Christ! This is indeed an extremely “high calling”! No Christian is “left out”! It doesn’t matter if your male or female, young or old, educated or not…You are still called to be a member of the Melchizedek Priesthood! This also means that you are a king or a queen, because each and every member of the Melchizedek Priesthood is both a “king and priest”! This is part of the definition of the Melchizedek Order!

Melchizedek Deeper Dive: What Does The Bible Say?

"1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy".

1 Peter 2:1-10 KJV

Clear enough?

OK, to what “priesthood” is this passage referring? Obviously it must be the same “priesthood” of which Jesus Christ is a member, since He is described as the “cornerstone”! And what priesthood is that?

"14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore".

Hebrews 7:14-28 KJV
"20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec".

Hebrews 6:20 KJV

Could this be any clearer?

Melchizedek Deeper Dive: What Does God Want?

So, if Jesus is the “high priest” of the Order of Melchizedek, and we are also priests and priestesses in that same “order”, then what can we reasonably expect that God wants from us? Does He want us to be “like our Example”, Jesus Christ? Yes, I think so! Is this a “reasonable expectation”?

"13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it".

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
"1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ".

2 Peter 1:1-11 KJV

Everything Has Been Provided

Yes, since everything we need has been provided, it is reasonable that God should expect us to overcome our sins, by His power and our choice! (See Steps To Christ, chapter 5, and Desire of Ages, chapter 1)

Melchizedek Deeper Dive: Why Are We Still Here?

So why are we still here? The earth became 6,000 years old way back in 1844! (See “When Does the 6000 Years End? Part 2“) Satan’s “probationary time” to prove his accusations against God is long past! And prophecy tells us that “time is no longer” after 1844! We are still here because we have chosen to neglect our God given duties and chosen to enjoy a life of ease! Just like the Israelites did in the wilderness, we complain about our wants, and neglect our relationship with God!

We should be very thankful that God has delayed His return, giving us an opportunity to repent and to form a better relationship with Him! The time to get more oil is nearly over! Our lamps need to be trimmed! The Melchizedek Message is that God has honored us beyond ALL measure by calling every single one of us “Melchizedek kings and priests” with Jesus Christ! The time for action is NOW!

Update: Just for your information, yesterday, when I had only written two paragraphs on this article, Satan tried to kill me 3 different times that afternoon! So, do you think we should let him squelch this information? Or give it the attention it deserves! And tonight the whole website went down. But after praying and asking God to protect the website from Satan, it is back up and running without me having to do anything!
