Melchizedek Message

Melchizedek has always been, in every instance found in the Bible, a member of the Godhead! And in every instance except perhaps the first one, Melchizedek is and has always been Jesus Christ, our High Priest of the Melchizedek Order!

Here’s a good video about Melchizedek: Who Is Melchizedek?

Melchizedek means “My King of Righteousness” or “My Righteous King”! Until you can personally and enthusiastically say, “Jesus (or Yehowoshua) is My King Of Righteousness.” You will not have the proper motivation for keeping His Law, the Ten Commandments (see Exodus 20:3-17 KJV)! That means this subject area is critical to your Christian experience!

If you want to know why this is critical to your Christian walk, please read 1 Peter 2:1-10 KJV! This identifies every Christian, whether man, woman, or child, as a member of the Temple Christ Himself is building! It identifies Christ as the “foundation stone” of that building! And it refers to each member as a “living precious gem” that is “fitted” into the building! And in verse 9 it says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;”!

This clearly indicates that ALL Christians are specifically CALLED to be priests and priestesses in the same “order” of Priests as Jesus Christ, our high priest in the order of Melchizedek!

This means we are also called to live a perfect life as Jesus did! To be a Christ-like example before other people! This is our high calling!

"Satan represents God’s law of love as a law of selfishness. He declares that it is impossible for us to obey its precepts. The fall of our first parents, with all the woe that has resulted, he charges upon the Creator, leading men to look upon God as the author of sin, and suffering, and death. Jesus was to unveil this deception. As one of us He was to give an example of obedience. For this He took upon Himself our nature, and passed through our experiences. “In all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren.” Hebrews 2:17. If we had to bear anything which Jesus did not endure, then upon this point Satan would represent the power of God as insufficient for us. Therefore Jesus was “in all points tempted like as we are.” Hebrews 4:15. He endured every trial to which we are subject. And He exercised in His own behalf no power that is not freely offered to us. As man, He met temptation, and overcame in the strength given Him from God. He says, “I delight to do Thy will, O My God: yea, Thy law is within My heart.” Psalm 40:8. As He went about doing good, and healing all who were afflicted by Satan, He made plain to men the character of God’s law and the nature of His service. His life testifies that it is possible for us also to obey the law of God".

I have prepared a list of articles on the Melchizedek Message because it is the most important and most ignored subject area in the SDA denomination! Our interest in this subject seems to have grown a little recently, and I think there’s enough information in the Bible related to it to warrant a whole Sabbath School Quarterly on it! Even though there are only 11 instances of this word in the Bible, there’s a very long list of Bible references containing Melchizedek-related ideas!
