The Choice | Once to Every Man and Nation
In the Bible, God reveals with prophetic literature how the time of judgment will unfold, and that it is not a day to fear, but to rejoice, because of His amazing grace.
Another Resource: The Great Controversy
The Final Judgment
The courtroom in heaven will open, and every person that has ever lived will appear before the judgment seat of Christ, where God will bring every deed into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.
All Of History Recorded
Throughout history, every deed of humanity has been carefully recorded to ensure that the most accurate judgment will be made.
There will be no question as to whose side each person has chosen. Unfortunately, each of us will have a marred record, for the Bible clearly states, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Satan Is Our Accuser
This is what Satan will accuse us of in heaven’s courtroom. They have sinned by disobeying God’s law and are not worthy to enter his kingdom. For the wages of sin is death.
The Book Of Life
Then, another book will be opened, which is the book of life. Contained within its pages are the names of those who have penitence for their sin, but recognize that they are incapable of achieving their own salvation. Yet, they have faith that Christ’s gift is sufficient to purchase their freedom from sin and their freedom to choose. Therefore, they have chosen to wash their robes and make them white in the blood of the lamb.
Jesus Paid The Price
When Jesus finds their name written in the book of life, he will answer Satan’s accusation by presenting his hands and feet that were pierced through and say, I have purchased their freedom and I will remember their sins no more. Therefore, they shall walk with me in white, for they…they are worthy!
Once To Evey Man And Nation
Verse 1
Once to every man and nation
Comes the moment to decide,
In the strife of truth with falsehood
For the good or evil side;
Some great cause, God's new Messiah,
Offering each the bloom or blight,
And the choice goes by forever,
’Twixt that darkness and that light.
Verse 2
Then to side with truth is noble,
When we share her wretched crust,
Ere her cause bring fame and profit,
And ’tis prosperous to be just;
Then it is the brave man chooses
While the coward stands aside,
Till the multitude make virtue
Of the faith they had denied.
Verse 3
Though the cause of evil prosper,
Yet tis truth alone is strong;
Though her portion be the scaffold,
And upon the throne be wrong;
Yet that scaffold sways the future,
And behind the dim unknown,
Standeth God within the shadow,
Keeping watch above His own!
Each day we are given the choice to trust God with our salvation and to trust in his ways, or to take matters into our own hands and continue to indulge in sin. One day, we too will appear before the judgment seat of Christ. And today, His hand of mercy is stretched out to you. What will your decision be?

Closing Thoughts
Chapter 5—Consecration
God’s promise is, “Ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13.
The whole heart must be yielded to God, or the change can never be wrought in us by which we are to be restored to His likeness. By nature we are alienated from God. The Holy Spirit describes our condition in such words as these: “Dead in trespasses and sins;” “the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint;” “no soundness in it.” We are held fast in the snare of Satan, “taken captive by him at his will.” Ephesians 2:1; Isaiah 1:5, 6; 2 Timothy 2:26. God desires to heal us, to set us free. But since this requires an entire transformation, a renewing of our whole nature, we must yield ourselves wholly to Him.
The warfare against self is the greatest battle that was ever fought. The yielding of self, surrendering all to the will of God, requires a struggle; but the soul must submit to God before it can be renewed in holiness.
The government of God is not, as Satan would make it appear, founded upon a blind submission, an unreasoning control. It appeals to the intellect and the conscience. “Come now, and let us reason
together” is the Creator’s invitation to the beings He has made. Isaiah 1:18. God does not force the will of His creatures. He cannot accept an homage that is not willingly and intelligently given. A
mere forced submission would prevent all real development of mind or character; it would make man a mere automaton. Such is not the purpose of the Creator. He desires that man, the crowning work of His creative power, shall reach the highest possible development. He sets before us the height of blessing to which He desires to bring us through His grace. He invites us to give ourselves to Him, that He may work His will in us. It remains for us to choose whether we will be set free from the bondage of sin, to share the glorious liberty of the sons of God.
