A New Heart

A New Heart | Write Them On My Heart

We Have All Been Hurt

Has someone ever lied to you? Maybe talked bad about you behind your back? Or maybe someone has done something to you far worse than I could ever describe. The point is we’ve all been hurt by someone.

What Does The Bible Say?

Now, what does the Bible say we ought to do to people who hurt us? Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who abuse you.

A New Way!

What? Why? Why does God expect us to love people who don’t love us back? But God demonstrates his own love for us in this. That while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. An indescribable love.

God Loved Us Before We Loved Him!

While we were his enemies, God loved us. The measure of which he loves far exceeds the measure we are capable of loving others. How then is it possible for us to love the same way?

A New Covenant!

God told Jeremiah the prophet that the day is coming when he will make a new covenant with his children. The day when we will do it through his power. I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.

Write Them On My Heart

Verse 1
You've written what you want for me in stone.
A reflection of your character alone.
So I try to keep your laws without regret.
But I'm easily distracted and forget.

Chorus
So write them on my heart,
seal them in my mind.
The beauty of your law and grace combined.
Remind me just how lovely your commandments are.
And write them on the tablets of my heart.

Verse 2
There is only one desire inside of me.
To be all that you created me to be.
And I know the only way that I can grow
Is for you to come inside and take control.

Verse 3
Your law reflects your goodness
The Cross reveals your Grace!
Loves the motivation
Behind your perfect ways.

(Special Ending)
So write them on my heart,
Seal them in my mind.
The beauty of your law and grace combined.
Remind me just how lovely your commandments are.
And write them on the tablets of my heart.
Remind me just how lovely your commandments are.
And write them on the tablets of my heart.

God Works Through Us!

No longer would we need to rely on our own strength. God will work through us to obey His law. Allow Him into your heart today to accomplish His will for your life.

How Will God Rescue Us?

Closing Notes

"31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."

Jeremiah 31:31-34 KJV
