God’s Character Vindicated | At Calvary

God had shown his great love towards humanity by sending his son to die in our stead. But now, as the lifeless form of Jesus was laid rest to a tomb, it appeared as though Satan was the victor. Death still presided on earth.

But then, early in the morning on the third day, an earthquake shook the earth as an angel at the charge of God descended from heaven and broke through the satanic forces guarding the tomb. The immovable stone was cast aside and the Son of God was called forth by the command of God. Instantaneously, light illuminates the dark tomb as Jesus walks out the victor over death.

His words ringing true, I am the resurrection and the life. Death’s grasp no longer has a hold on us. Along with Paul, we can proclaim, O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Mercy there was great, and grace was free.Pardon there was molten, lie to me. There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. By God's word at last my sin I learned. Then I tremble at the law I've spurned. Till my guilty soul in glory turn to Calvary. O the love that drew salvation's plan.O the grace that brought it down to man. O the mighty gold that God dispensed at Calvary. Mercy there was great, and grace was free.Pardon there was molten, lie to me. There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. And now I've given to Jesus everything. Now I'm laughing on Him as my King. Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary. Mercy there was great, and grace was free.Pardon there was molten, lie to me. There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. Mercy there was great, and grace was free at Calvary. At Calvary.

The serpent’s head is crushed. His attempts to falsify God’s character are revealed to the universe and all its onlookers to be fraud.

And God’s character of unconditional love is revealed to be true and unchangeable. He had gone to the furthest length to rescue us from our calamity. At the cross, our pardon was purchased.

And at the resurrection, our eternal life was secured. Now, Christ is standing at the right hand of God as our mediator, making intercession for us. And one day soon, all humanity will appear before His judgment seat.

And to those who believed, He will grant the right to eternal life and freedom. The choice now belongs to us. Will we believe and allow Him to change our lives? Or not? We’ll look at this in a future episode.

But for now, let’s turn our attention to God’s Word. His method of revealing Himself to us. Subscribe so you don’t miss it or any of our future episodes! Share it with a friend. And feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
