The Abomination Of Desolation
Most Christians today believe that the Abomination of Desolation must refer to something that desecrates the literal Temple in Israel, which has not been rebuilt yet. However, this assumption overlooks a crucial fact.
In 70 AD, God rejected Israel as His Chosen people to represent Him on the Earth! So, the Abomination of Desolation must refer to something in the world of Christianity, not Judaism, to find its true fulfillment during the end of times!
The Bible is filled with spiritual principles! And just before the final destruction of the Temple in AD 70, there were two fulfillments of the prophecy concerning the Abomination of Desolation! By studying these, we can accurately determine exactly what the modern-day fulfillment will be.
So what really happened from 66 AD to 70 AD? A man called Manahem led the Roman Army in 66 AD, surrounded the city of Jerusalem, and laid siege to it. The Abomination of Desolation was the fact that the Roman Army planted its pagan flags inside the “holy place” that surrounded the city outside the walls of the city. All of the business people knew about this “holy place” because they were not allowed to be in the “holy place” during the Sabbath hours, which began Friday at sunset and continued to Saturday at sunset.
A Military Tactic
The Roman Army was also aware of this “holy place” and intentionally placed their flags in the area known as the “holy place” to discourage the people in the city. This was the fulfillment of the Abomination of Desolation spoken about by Daniel the prophet. Shortly after that, Manahem received a message stating that there were more important things for him to attend to than attacking Jerusalem. So, he left in a hurry to fulfill his other duties.
Unfortunately, the Jews living in Jerusalem thought that this was the perfect opportunity to teach the Romans a lesson, and they pursued the Roman Army and picked them off, one by one, as they retreated. The Romans remembered this incident when they returned in AD 70, and it was this memory that fueled their desire to destroy the Temple in AD 70.
In both instances, 66 AD and 70 AD, they planted their pagan flags in the holy place as part of mental warfare against the Jews! Essentially, they were saying that the God of the Jews was impotent and unable to defend their “holy place” against the Roman Army!
The Meaning Goes Deeper!
But the true meaning of the Abomination of Desolation goes much deeper than this! Roman culture allowed for an unlimited plethora of other gods to exist. The only “catch” was that each religion had to sign a document of “incorporation” stating that their own deity was “subservient to the Roman Caesar” as the ultimate God. This is why Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh to the Father but by Me”! He was blatantly nullifying the entire Roman concept of incorporation, and the Jewish religious leaders immediately recognized this fact!
This is why the argument of the High Priests sounded legitimate when they accused Jesus of sedition. And it is why Pilate listened when they said, “We have no king but Caesar”. These actions of the Jews cemented them in the path of rebellion against God! And the ultimate result was the rejection of them as the “chosen people of God” in 70 AD on the day they stoned Stephen. This is when they shut the door of God’s mercy by their own will and actions!
Individual Jews can still be saved in the same way as any Christian from any culture, and that is by being “grafted into the Vine, Jesus Christ”! See John 15 KJV.
Rebuilding The Temple Serves No Purpose!
There is NO benefit to rebuilding the literal Jewish Temple! Nor will ANY prophecy be fulfilled inside it! Why? Because Jesus said, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate”! This means that the Holy Spirit, the actual presence of God, has permanently departed from the Temple! The Jewish people forcibly removed the Holy Spirit from the Temple by their consistent persecution of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and His followers! Their status as God’s Chosen People is forever gone!
Now they are on equal footing with all the people in all the countries of the world! And God will be merciful to those who repent and follow Jesus faithfully in ANY country, including Israel!
The Jews Are Important!
Do I appreciate the Jews? Most certainly! They have been essential to the preservation of the Bible, God’s Word! Their culture reminds us of the actual Sabbath Day, Saturday! All of Christianity is indebted to them for these things! These two obvious facts cannot be erased from history!
Everyone Was Attacked!
By the way, both the Allies and Hitler planned bombing runs that were specifically designed to wipe out both Jews and Protestant Christians alike! These meetings were held in secret, but their true purpose was eventually revealed. Both sides were cooperating with Lucifer to hide the truths found in God’s Word! This fact should not surprise anyone. If you want proof, dig for it yourself! I’m not going to put any of my brothers and sisters in Christ in danger! I’ve seen the hard evidence from more than one historian (awaiting their PhD in History)! And that’s where I’ll leave it. Go and dig!

As you probably noticed in the above video, the word Abomination is associated with idolatry. And the word Desolate refers to the fact that God’s presence has departed!
And both of these attributes cannot find any better fulfillment than in the case of the papacy in Rome! From the beginning, their worship services have been filled with pagan idolatry, and this has continued throughout history ever since around 350 AD. They openly state that Sunday worship is NOT supported in ANY part of the Bible! This is how they have forced desolation (the lack of God’s presence) on their members! Worshipping on Sunday is their way of defying God’s authority and claiming to have MORE authority than God! God’s presence cannot abide where the church leaders defy God’s authority! However, He can still abide in the hearts of sincere believers, even in Catholic churches. But that’s not a very smart place to be!
And soon the papacy will succeed in getting Americans to legislate a Sunday Law, right here in America, supposedly the haven of absolute freedom! This will be the Abomination of Desolation for America without ANY DOUBT! And once this law is passed, the second coming of Jesus will only be a few weeks away! Now is the time to establish a close relationship with God! Read the Bible for yourself! You can’t afford to trust ANY pastor or priest! But you can trust the King James Version of the Bible!
There have been many, many miracles associated with the establishment of the United States of America! It is absolutely clear that God planned for this country to exist and has blessed it above all other countries. According to the way that God Himself has treated the USA, he considers it a “holy place”! The USA has always been a refuge for those who wanted to escape religious persecution!
When the Sunday Law is passed in the USA, it will be like slapping the face of God! Sunday is Satan’s Day (and always has been), not God’s Sabbath Day! The name Sunday is perfectly clear – it is the Sun’s Day! It is the day that was always used to worship the Sun God, whether it was Nimrod, the sun god in Babylon, or Ra, the sun god of the Egyptians! The Catholic church was initially formed by combining the early Christian church with thousands of pagan sun god worshippers because Constantine (the current pope at that time) wanted more political power!
There was also a Sunday Law in those days, and persecution followed.
Satan’s day of choice has always been Sunday, and it represents everything that has to do with his evil kingdom! This is why the USA Sunday Law is the modern-day fulfillment of the Abomination of Desolation! And religious persecution is GUARANTEED to follow the Sunday Law! The book of Revelation clearly indicates this outcome!
"1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (1260 years: 538 AD to 1798 AD was the Dark Ages of Papal persecution)

OK, I have warned you! The ball is your court, so to speak! The “Lord’s Day” in the Bible has always been Saturday, the seventh day of the week! It was Jesus Christ who wrote the 4th Commandment with His own finger on Mt. Sinai! See also SabbathTruth.Com
The final conflict before Jesus returns will be focused on the day of worship! Those who accept the Sunday Law (which will begin in the USA and quickly spread to the entire world) will be accepting the Mark Of The Beast and condoning the Abomination of Desolation! It is no surprise, then, that these people will be lost and will never enter Heaven!
