The Most Damaging Doctrine!

The Most Damaging Doctrine!

The Most Damaging Doctrine!

The doctrine of eternally burning hell is the most damaging doctrine in the entire history of Earth! Fortunately, the Bible has never taught this idea and never will! The idea originated in various pagan religions and was popularized by the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, many Protestant churches also adopted this Catholic teaching without checking the Bible carefully to see if this teaching was correct or not!

Another Resource: HellTruth.Com

Eternal Hell is the most damaging doctrine of all time because, if it were true, then God would be “evil incarnate”! He would not be “love” as the Bible clearly states, nor would He be fair in ANY sense of that word! This is an excellent example of a deception that originated from the papacy’s human greed. And it kept going because the leaders of other Protestant denominations also liked the way they could brow-beat people to attend church and give money by using the idea of eternal hell to “motivate” them.

The problem is that any logical human being will have a problem worshipping a God who would make a person suffer for all of eternity. Such a God would not be loving at all, not fair, sadistic, and cruel! The doctrine of eternal hell comes straight from Satan, because he is the one who wants more than anything to destroy God’s influence on the Earth! Whose fault is this whole thing? Yours! Because you did NOT check the Bible for yourself!

This deception about eternal hell is closely related to another deception called the “Immortality Of The Soul.” This second deception is that, when a person dies, they remain aware of their surroundings, wherever they might be. But the Bible says:

"5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten."

Ecclesiastes 9:5 KJV

Is this not clear enough? By the way, what did God say was the penalty for sin? Did he say it was eternal torment in hell?

"15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

Genesis 2:15-17 KJV

Please notice that God mentions death as a consequence, but not eternal torment! And another little thing. If hell burns people alive forever, then that means that every sinner also gets the gift of eternal life! But in the Bible, the only people who EVER get that gift are the “righteous” people! The sinners are promised death, not eternal life! God keeps ALL of His promises! Adam and Eve began to deteriorate physically from the moment they sinned by eating the forbidden fruit until about 900 years later, when the promise of death was fulfilled for both of them!

But didn’t God say that they would die the same day that they ate the fruit? It seems like that from the KJV wording, yes, but that did not happen, obviously. So something was lost in the translation process. But we know that something DID happen as soon as they sinned. We know this because they both realized they were naked and attempted to make clothing from fig leaves. So, the process of death began immediately!

"1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."

Genesis 3:1-7 KJV

Notice that the very first lie that Satan told to Eve was “ye shall not surely die,” and he has repeated this lie to every generation since that time by deceiving us into believing that the soul is separate from the body! But what does the Bible say a “soul” is?

"7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

Genesis 2:7 KJV

Please notice that a soul is equal to the body (or dust of the ground) plus the “breath of God!” When the breath of God leaves the body (this is death), then the “soul” dies! Soul death is confirmed in the Bible.

"4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,

6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,

7 And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;

8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

9 Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God."

Ezekiel 18:4-9 KJV

Here, we clearly see that a person’s life and death (both physical and spiritual) are determined by how they live! Need more evidence?

"5 For every man shall bear his own burden.

6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption (death & decay); but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."

Galatians 6:5-10 KJV

Good works in this life really DO MATTER! Grace is unmerited favor, and salvation is a gift by the grace of God. But ALL who are saved will have a genuine love relationship with Jesus Christ, and they will demonstrate this by doing their BEST to keep the Ten Commandments!

"10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

Revelation 22:10-20 KJV

Please note that Revelation clearly specifies exactly who will go to Heaven! “14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” What commandments? The Ten Commandments! The ones Jesus wrote with His own finger!

"3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's."

Exodus 20:3-17 KJV (The Ten Commandments)

In the following Bible passage, Jesus is telling His disciples the most critical truths He will utter just before His crucifixion!

"6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name (in agreement with my will), I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

In the passage above, we see that obedience to Jesus’ Ten Commandments is a prerequisite to receiving the Holy Spirit! So, do the people who attend a church that teaches “the Ten Commandments were nailed to the Cross” really have the “Holy Spirit” when they “speak in tongues”? The answer is clearly NO, they have demons who make them believe they are experiencing the Holy Spirit, but they are wrong! They are experiencing the “miracles” of Satan and the other evil angels! Make no mistake, the Holy Spirit is NOT GIVEN to those who undermine the government of God and His Law! God does not work against Himself!

If you are a pastor who teaches that the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross, then you need to study Colossians 2 in more detail. There was a law that was nailed to the cross, yes, but it was the Law of Moses, not the Law of God! It was also known as “the ceremonial law” because it related to the sacrificial system, which was null and void after the death of Jesus on the Cross! Let’s take a look!

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

Colossians 2:6-17 KJV

Here we see that the law that was indeed nailed to the Cross was “the handwriting of ordinances,” which refers directly to the ceremonial law that Moses wrote on a scroll. This scroll was placed outside the Ark of the Covenant, indicating its temporary nature. In contrast, the Ten Commandments were written on blue sapphire stone tablets carved directly from the throne of God and written with Jesus’ own finger! God’s Law is NOT temporary, but eternal!

Verse 16 refers NOT to the weekly Sabbath, but to the ceremonial “sabbaths” that were part of the feasts described in Leviticus 23. Please study this more closely for yourself. (see SabbathTruth.com)

Of course, if you have made the mistake of teaching that the Ten Commandments were nailed to the Cross, you will need to sincerely apologize to God and to your church for your mistake!

There are some groups that now teach that we should observe all the feasts listed in Leviticus 23 to really be in God’s favor! However, as we have clearly seen in Colossians 2, this idea is also false! Those requirements were part of the Law of Moses, which indeed was nailed to the Cross! There is nothing “wrong” with observing those feasts. There is a rich history involved with their observance, and this experience can be very instructive and enlightening for those who want to learn about their significance. But the observation of those feasts is no longer required for salvation. Their whole purpose was to “point forward to the death of Jesus!” And that purpose they did fulfill perfectly!

Unfortunately, the Jews tended to worship the feasts and other ceremonies themselves instead of the Messiah they represented! And this is why they rejected the One sent to redeem them! They also misinterpreted the prophecies about the Second Coming of Jesus as referring to His first appearance! And they thought that the promised Messiah would end the Roman oppression! But the truth is that Satan is the REAL oppressor and his followers will ALL be destroyed at the Second Coming of Jesus!

Unfortunately, Satan and his angels will not be destroyed until the 3rd Coming of Jesus after the 1,000-year “Millennium” spent by the saved in Heaven.
