The Name of Jesus
This is a secret you’ll definitely want to find out!
There’s a friend of mine who says, “I don’t believe in salvation by pronunciation.” I agree with him. However, if someone truly loves the Son of God, they will have a strong desire to do anything and everything to please Him! This article is written for those people—everyone else can ignore it!
Let’s consider some very important facts:
The Jesuit Order, also known as “The Society Of Jesus,” was formed in 1540 AD. The letter “J” has never existed in any of the original languages of the Bible and did not appear in “translated versions of the Bible” until about 1611 AD. Why? Did the Jesuit Order invent the letter “J”? It certainly appears to have happened that way! Did they also invent the name Jesus? The formal name “The Society Of Jesus” would certainly appear to endorse this idea!
Listen, I know your next question! You want to know if there’s ANY WAY to find out what name should REALLY be used for the Son Of God! Well, there IS! But this will take a bit of careful study!
Let’s turn to Numbers 13:16 in the KJV Bible. “These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua”. Please notice that this was a “name change” that Moses chose to make! Did Moses realize that Oshea needed a name change? Why? And why did Moses choose the name “Jehoshua”? Let’s dig a little bit deeper, OK?
Remember that the letter “J” still does not exist in Hebrew, Aramaic, or Biblical Greek! So, in order to understand the REAL name that was incorrectly translated as “Jehoshua,” we MUST go back to the Hebrew word in the original text!
The following is the entry in Strong’s Concordance for the last word in Numbers 13:16
{the name} Joshua.
יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ (yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘)
Noun – proper – masculine singular
Strong’s Hebrew 3091: Joshua or Jehoshua = ‘Jehovah is salvation’ n pr m 1) son of Nun of the tribe of Ephraim and successor to Moses as the leader of the children of Israel; led the conquest of Canaan 2) a resident of Beth-shemesh on whose land the Ark of the Covenant came to a stop after the Philistines returned it 3) son of Jehozadak and high priest after the restoration 4) governor of Jerusalem under king Josiah who gave his name to a gate of the city of Jerusalem
Please notice the Strong’s number: H3091! The “H” stands for Hebrew.
Now, let’s turn to Matthew 1:21 in the KJV Bible: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” The very important word in this text is “Jesus!” Let’s look at the entry for this word!
Strong’s Number: G2424
Greek Base Word: Ἰησοῦς
Usage: Jesus
Literally: Jehovah is salvation
Definition: Jesus (i.e., Jehoshua), the name of our Lord, and two (three) other Israelites.
Detailed definition:
- Joshua was the famous captain of the Israelites, Moses’ successor.
- Jesus, son of Eliezer, one of the ancestors of Christ.
- Jesus, the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind, God incarnate.
- Jesus Barabbas was the captive robber whom the Jews begged Pilate to release instead of Christ.
- Jesus, surnamed Justus, a Jewish Christian, an associate with Paul in the preaching of the gospel.
Derived terms: Of Hebrew origin (H3091).

- H3091
Did you notice that the origin of the name translated as “Jesus” is exactly the same as “H3091”? OK, so we have established that the name translated as “Jehoshua” or “Joshua” in Numbers 13:16 is exactly the same as the name translated as “Jesus” in Matthew 1:21! But what would be the most accurate way to “pronounce” the actual name that is referred to in both verses?
Well, if you look at the entry for Numbers 13:16 above, there is a description of how to pronounce the name: (yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘)
If we apply the normal “rules” of spelling a word based on normal pronunciation, then the result would be “Yehowoshua”! So this is the real word that “The Society of Jesus” has diligently tried to HIDE from everyone!
Let’s not forget that the “tetragrammaton” for God the Father is “YHWH” and that the common pronunciation for this is “Yahweh!” So, it makes sense that the Son of God would have a name that is pronounced in a similar fashion!
There’s also an argument that since Jesus has hundreds of names described in both the Old and New Testaments, His name is not that important to God! But let’s take a closer look at this argument, OK?
1. Almighty – “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8).
2. Alpha and Omega – “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:12-13).

Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself (Hebrews 7:26-27).
18. Holy and Righteous One – You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you (Acts 3:14).

24. Lamb of God – The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29)!

The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. But Most Of These Are Titles, Not Names!
But upon closer examination, we find that most of these “names” are actually “titles” or “descriptions” of God’s Son! They are NOT REALLY SPECIFIC NAMES! The ONLY other “name” for Jesus that comes close to being an actual name is “Shiloh,” but if you look closely at this name, it was a way for the Old Testament prophets to “point forward” to the fact that Shiloh would be used to encourage the Samaritans by using that name for Jesus as “a place of Worship” for the Samaritans! So, once again, it is really a title!
So, we are back to “square one” and MUST admit that there’s really only ONE real name for Jesus, hidden by the Jesuits, and that name is pronounced as “Yehowoshua”! That’s it, end of discussion!
So, if you really love God’s Only Begotten Son, I know that you will start using His REAL Name rather than helping to prolong the rulership of “The Society of Jesus,” also known as the “Jesuit Order!”
One of my close friends would say some other, not-so-pleasant words to convince you, but I know that this is not necessary! If you love Him, you’ll want to use His correct name, just like you would for any other close friend! There’s no more convincing needed!
By the way…I happen to know for certain that some Jesuit has deleted this article recently. But I discovered this fact and have re-published it from a backup copy! I don’t appreciate this…servants of Satan! How do I know they are servants of Satan? Because of their training and oaths! Yes, they can repent and be saved, but repentance means to “turn around” and go in the opposite direction! For a Jesuit, this is a very difficult task! Jesuits are sworn to kill their Jesuit brothers who repent and turn to the real Jesus rather than the imposter whom they worship, Lucifer!
I still care about my Jesuit friends, but Jesus, or Yehowoshua, will soon return! It is time to repent now! In spite of the threat of death! May God grant you Grace and strength to do so!
